On Friday at 5:30, after the workshops ended, there was an exhibit hall opening ceremony and 125th anniversary celebration (cupcakes, punch, and coffee). The officer candidates were provided with space to meet and discuss with members. The vendors were all open for business at this time. The exhibit hall closed at 7:15 PM, when we went to the first floor and over to the symphony hall to the Dare to Lead: Women-to-Women Dialogue, which was preceded by the Founding Leader Pin Ceremony. Fifteen women (two posthumously) and one group (AAUW Minnesota Leaders) received medallions for committing an unrestricted gift to the Leadership and Training Institute as of 6-1-2007. Our own Sue Barley, AAUW of Missouri finance officer and member of the Ballwin-Chesterfield Branch, was on stage to accept her medallion as a Founding Leader. |
