Incentive Grants The Peg Witt Incentive Grant project was founded in 2006 through resources established in honor of the late Peg Witt, long time board member and project coordinator. This year the state board was able to award Branch Incentive Grants to all six branches that applied to (1) stimulate growth by organizing new branches or strengthening weak branches, (2) to stimulate member interest in participating at all levels to raise awareness and share concepts, and (3) to stimulate innovative project planning. Because some of the award money wasn't granted last year, it was added that to this year's designated amount and awarded a total of $1625. Congratulations to all these branches! A condition of receiving a grant was to attend the leadership conference and present to the membership a summary of the project for which the money was used. The branches are |

| Kansas City
Kansas City applied for a new Day in the Life of a College Student event that was to be held on the UMKC campus to introduce college life as part of the 100 High School Girls' scholarship event. Our young members had a bachelor auction in the Fall that raised money for scholarships for high school seniors who applied by writing an essay.
